Dell Adds Storage, Disaster Recovery to Services

Thursday, June 26, 2008
By bMighty.com Staff

Dell announced it was offering a new storage consulting practice and customizable backup and disaster management services to businesses.

According to Paul Kaeley, Dell global practice leader, this is the first time these consulting services are being combined into a formal offering. The managed backukp service includes remote monitoring and reporting to stabilize backup operations. For disaster recovery, customers can choose from two levels of service: the first, for midsize customers, is aimed at protecting key applications and restoring IT operations in case of disaster. The more advanced level, for larger customers, includes the design and implementation of IT recovery plans and the involvement of more people.
