Mobile Control For Small Fleets

Lots of smaller companies have trucks, too.
That's where Alltel's new FieldMasterPro service comes in. Designed for Windows Mobile smartphones, the subscription-based service helps smaller companies better manage their field service organizations.
According to Eric Zeman at InformationWeek's Mobile Weblog, not all field service solutions are "SMB friendly." But at $60 per month, this one is.
FieldMasterPro does what other field service solutions do. It lets field technicians kill paperwork and simplify invoicing by using the Windows Mobile 5.0-powered smartphones to complete tasks. They use programmable fields to check off completed tasks, which are wirelessly synced back to the office. Appointments are automatically sent to the smartphones, telling techs where to go next.
It just doesn't assume that anyone who needs this capability is a giant enterprise.
