Boston-Area Startups, Get Your 15 Minutes

Posted by Naomi Grossman Wednesday, Jul 16, 2008, 09:50 AM ET

For smaller businesses, it's all about getting noticed. Well, if you're a Boston-area tech startup, here's your chance to get your 15 minutes in the spotlight. InformationWeek's Startup City TV crew is coming to the Bay State and they've got more spots to fill.

InformationWeek's editor John Foley extends an invitation to Boston area tech start ups in his most recent blog posting. His Startup City TV crew will be in Boston on July 22 and there are openings. There are some caveats: it will take 15 minutes of your time (it turns out Andy Warhol was right) and you need to have a "compelling story to tell." What startup's story is not compelling?

The video interviews are then posted on IW's Startup City blog and on TechWeb's YouTube channel.

Foley recommends that those interested check out his post on Startup City's road trip to Pittsburgh.

Smaller businesses, no one can tell your story like you can and here's your chance. This is what Web 2.0 is all about -- don't pass up an easy, free opportunity to be part of it.

If your startup is on the other side of the country don't fret: the Startup City crew will be in San Francisco on August 19. To apply for an appearance in either city go here.
