Swine Flu Outbreak Brings Out Swineflu Web Scams

Swine Flu's making headlines and making people nervous, which is leading people to look for swineflu information on the Web. No surprise that the cybercrooks are setting up swine flu scam addresses and sites.

As the attention and concern over the spread of swine flu and its pandemic potential grows, so does the level of swineflu scam urls being set up to prey upon public concern.

Security company Sonic Wall reports that dozens of urls have been grabbed, including:

And those are just some of them. Even a partial list and a quick glance shows that the crooks are playing all the search-term bases, eager to spread their infections to a nervous public eager to avoid getting infected.

Look for a dramatic increase in swine flu spam and phony meds scams -- and warn your people to be on the lookout for it too.
