Small is the new Large! Given users newfound proclivity to bound from place rather than sit at their desks, suppliers have been developing a bevy of mobile devices. Broadcom is the latest supplier to jump into this space with silicon that can be used for a portable computing tablet, a market that soon could receive a big boost from industry game changer, Apple Inc.

What Next For Google In The Mobile Market?

Google has been known as a game changing company, a firm whose entry in a market often means immediate upheaval. Two years ago, the vendor unveiled its Android mobile operating system and convinced a bevy of suppliers to support the system. Now, Google plans to make its own handset, which may cause those companies to question their support.

Your Business Calls Now Can Travel Abroad

Data Center Consolidation Drives Need for High Speed Connections

Centralization has once again become the watchword in the data center. To simplify management, businesses are collapsing autonomous devices into central products. As this occurs, companies find themselves with more information stored in select locations and need fast network links to move that data. While many IT market segments have been struggling lately, high-speed data center connections have shown dramatic growth, according to market research firm Dell’Oro Group.

GroundWork Open Source Announces a New Linux Appliance

Clearwire Network Reaches 30 Million Users

Unified Communications Looks to the Sky

To date, cloud computing has had little impact on the Unified Communications (UC) market. The underlying technology has been slow to fall into place, the cost of these services has been high, the benefits have been hard to pinpoint, and the distribution channel has been weak. Infrastructure providers, such Broadsoft, Cisco, and Microsoft, have been pushing to overcome those barriers and may be close to providing small and medium businesses with more UC cloud options.
