The age of "Mad Men" lives on TV, but not in real life. These days, it doesn't pay to pour all you advertising dollars into print. Now there's online advertising, viral marketing, social networking, and now, mobile marketing, in which advertising is sent to the cell phones of people who opt in.

Jeff Hasen is VP of marketing at HipCricket, which focuses on SMS, or text messaging. He shared his thoughts on how mobile marketing can help smaller companies.

bMighty: What do you think is the future of marketing among smaller companies?

Hasen: Mobile provides a small business the ability to drive people to a particular offering. Going back to Daisy Maids -- they didn't have to do a large spend or launch a campaign that could last several months. What it produced was a return on their dollars.
