Frequency Variation: A Change In Frequency Stability

Frequency variations aren't very common. But if you do get them, they can affect performance of monitors, for example, or other devices that depend on the 60 hertz (50 hertz in Europe) cycle to set refresh rates and so on.

Solution:
A line-interactive UPS really won't cover these kinds of problems. You really need an online UPS (also known as a double-conversion UPS) that includes filtering and frequency-adjustment technology to fully convert your power into a consistent and constant output. For most applications, though, you just don't need this.
